never a worse title...had to...
I have updated so much less now that so much more is happening in my life. Days are full and I cannot really make up my mind about things enough to express anything decisive in a post. I can manage a really long, not cohesive list, though:
My room is so nondescript and although I am rarely there, I am starting to go with the emptiness/ unfinishedness by putting maps and magazine pictures and postcards up on the walls. I want to paint too and Anais loves that she can draw on my walls. It's pretty dorm room style but since I missed out on that, it's kinda enjoyable.
I love the kids. They are so cute. They hang all over me all the time, come into my room while I am getting dressed, and go through/wear all my things, and I somehow find it all to be adorable. Olivier kisses me goodnight. Anais chooses me to take her to bed. I really want to be the favorite family member. uhhhh...is that childish?
The garden in our backyard rules. One tree has a secret room underneath the branches, and we have lilypads in our pond and goldfish and tadpoles and every flower! So many wildflowers, so we can always pick bouquets that are always presents for each other in the end. We can see the lake and mountains from the backyard, too.
I am drawn to the lake in a weird way. I have never seen anything more pristine. I just always want to be there.
Every day Anais and I collect a pot full of "strawberries" from along the stone garden steps. Fucking lol when one of their cousins or uncles or something ate one.
I suddenly love hard bread and sometimes choose tea over coffee and can identify cheap chocolate from quality kind...uh...also white cheese...I used to be all about cheddar EXTRA sharp...who am I?
Oh, Anais is pronounced Ah-Nayz, rhymes with mayonnaise. Such a precious name and her best friends are Sophie and Annabelle...omggg
I pick her up from her school which is in a really ritzy downtown area, and she and I dance all the way to the train station...literally. Unless I carry her on my shoulders, in which case she usually still wants me to dance. Sometimes it makes me super irritable that we do this EVERY day, but mostly I just feel like we are the happiest people on the streets.
From July 24 to August 9th, I am on paid vacation. I lurk easyjet so hard all the time trying to figure out where to go.
Then on the 14th of August I leave Switzerland to go to Brittany, France hehehheeee & my flight home is on the 19th.
This weekend- Paris was the bomb.com and I am about to edit the pics and post them here. The best part was wandering around and getting lost in cobblestone streets that were closed off to traffic. Also it was awesome when I was at the Sacre Coeur overlooking the whole city and I heard a little girl say, "Daddy, Paris is beautiful!" She was so sincere, and she put it in words at perfect timing, just when I was feeling overwhelmed by exactly the same impression.
Saturday morning I went to a flea market in the rain and had whimsical adventures. So many of the vendors' puppies riding in bike baskets and chillin lounge lifestyle on chaises in the middle of little markets/rooms. I think they knew that they were surrounded by vintage brand name everything....it was sort of like canine cribs. They were kings. Also there were mirrors and chandeliers and thousands of old clocks everywhere hanging from ceilings, antique guns and lamps and vases and statues. So much, unreal...and the vendors were all sorta wacky, lots of make up or oversized hairbows or just acting silly. It was honestly like a circus in which you could participate. What a proper sentence.
Also the metro in Paris rules. so fast and dependable. However, I really sometimes wish Europeans would wear deodorant.
I looooove rubbish vs. brilliant. such good adjectives. Met so many British people and they rule!
blah blah this is retardedly long and I can't even get the pictures on yet!
Where should I go while I'm here, and where can I live when I get home?
love you bye
